Your trans should be a NP435. If you can moved the shfiter around lot while in gear, and the rattle, its sounds like the trunnion pins may be wore out, or the groove in the shifter the trunion pins ride it may be wore, or both. Not a detrimiental problem, just irratiating. Trunnion pins are cheap, and easy to change. If that may be the problem. Just a suggestion to look.
