I know Chris is just trying to sell a truck and doesn't need a flaming rant...and I notice that he's offering to provide info and pics right of the bat. So Chris, I'm not talking about you personally here.

I have stopped looking at vehicles advertised with the phrase: "Serious buyers only" or "no tire-kickers" etc., etc. I treat these phrases as warning flags that really mean I'll be wasting my time to go look at it...and I'm somebody that looks at more trucks than he should and comes home with about 50% of them. So of the sellers I've met, half think I'm amazingly dead-on serious and the other half...well, we both waste some time. I figure that expending some time and energy is just part of the old truck game. And like it or not, if you're selling an old truck you're in the game.

When I'm selling something I figure the potential buyers' time is worth as much as mine and when I go to look at something I expect the same consideration.

Too many times I have travelled long miles to look at inacurrately-described trucks (advertised with the a demand for earnest purchasers) and the would-be-sellers would complain that I wasted their time when I declined to instantly part with my cash. My experience also has been that the people who demand "serious" lookers don't seem inclined to disclose information very well. I don't buy from people like that.

I'm sure I'll miss out on a good deal someday because of this policy, but so be it.
