Well now that my barn is almost done I've been thinking I need air out there. I know this subject has been brought-up before about underground air lines. I was thinking about running some polypropelene line from my shop in the basement to the barn. I would think it would last just about forever, not like steel, or rupturable pvc. The line could be small like the air tool line available at your local lumber store then put a sizable air tank in the barn to make up for lost volume in the line. Could even bury a 3/4 size line then if it broke a new line of a smaller size could be snaked through it. Any better ideas?
