Greetings guys...
Ive located a '49 PW FF (former forestry service truck) that has lived under a
lean-to for nearly 15 years. It is complete (tailgate, original DODGE glass taillight etc), but has considerable surface rust. It hasnt been run in years, so I know it would need lots of work. So here are three questions...
1) What is the average cost to overhaul a PW motor?
2) What is the average cost to overhaul the brake system?
3) what is the cost to overhaul a tranny?
There is a lot of experience in this room, so I know you guys have at least ballpark answers. The seller wants $4,500.00 I think it may be too much for a non-running truck, and the true cost will be in repairs.
Buy it or wait for another? Thoughts?
