So is what you are saying that 3/16 steel plate is not 75% stronger than 3/16 alum plate under the same spand? If I was making the trailer stronger I would probley just put another layer of alum on top of the other one to double the strength where the wheels role on the bed. Marty's alum trailer looks pretty nice and it would keep it all the same looking. Mark H.
