Hello Chris:

My name is Chris as well, and there must be something in that name. I too have a WDX, but mine is a year newer, a '47. Your truck being a 1946 is very desireable. If it had the origional belt pulley on it, like what you describe, that is one of the rarest and highly desireable options. You can still find the belt pulley setups used once in a great while, but they are quite costly. BUt having that option makes the truck worth so much more. Your best bets to find parts are: Dennis Sherman at Power Wagons Plus,There is a link to his site off this site under "Links". Vintage Power Wagons in Iowa is the most complete source for parts. Doug Higgins and Northwoods equipment is a great guy to deal with, as well as John Geidl better known on this site as powerwagonjohn. First things first tho, Get a subscription to the Power Wagon advertiser and get one of Greg Coffin's survival guides. I have just barely scratched the surface. Stick with this forumn, the guys here have tons and tons of expirence and knowledge, and will not steer you wrong. I hope you have a good sense of humor as well. The people on this board are a riot! Where are you from? I am in Michigan about 1 1/2 hour north of Detroit. Good luck on your quest on your WDX and keep us updated!
