I took mine to a radiator shop to have that done, and they said it couldn't be done that way. Then they came up with another way, but wanted way to much money for something that they couldn't guarantee would even work. I ended up having Griffin Radiators make me a custom aluminum radiator with surge tank. It was pricey at just under $800.00 including shipping.I had them build it where it just fits in the old support by turning the support around where the weld nuts are at the front. Then I made a dummy radiator cap out of my old cap. Fits real nice and the surge tank mounts on the firewall just like the old style overflow tank. I'm real happy with it.
