I had my 13 acres burned over in a hot windy
fire a year ago July. Fortunatly only fencing, irrigation system, lots of trees I had planted along with 4 large ones that have since died. Nothing like a fire to underscore it's place in nature and learn to provide clearance, build wisely and protect your belongings. One thing I didn't figure was the threat of some arrogant firefighting personnel. If anyone sees my spouse downthere hanging all over an "elderly" pilot in a red, white and blue CH-54, give a thumbs up, pat on the butt. You go girl!
