I had a problem with a virus BKDR_KSP.A for a couple weeks. It works in conjunction with a Trojan. It sits on your computer and sends info to its author. I had Norton Symantec with firewall protection. It got past Norton and Norton couldn't get rid of it. I switched to Trend Micro and it got rid of it and keeps my system clean. When Trend Micro found and got rid of it, it showed the date the virus got into the file. It was sending out info for 2 weeks before Symantec even realized it was there.
With Trend Micro nothing can be sent out from my computer without my consent.
