I've been a machinist/tool and die maker for 20+ years. Spent 2 years in college (machine tool tech.). Worked 5 1/2 years in the machine shop of an electronics plant in eastern SD before moving to western SD in '88. Been employed by the same guy here for over 15 years now. I work on on about anything (Not the big stuff though, if I can't lift it, by hand, to the mill table or lathe chuck I send it to the "big" shop up the street.). Just finishing the fourth ammo loading machine for a local company. These machines do 75 rounds of .223 per minute (This is mostly high grade stuff for the military special forces.). It's been a fun project because I get to make all the parts and assemble them into an almost finished machine (I don't do the wiring.). I have the whole shop to myself while the boss takes care of sales (We sell most anything related to machine shop operation.). You could say I'm a machining addict, with a lathe and mill at home also. I've made a few parts for my '63 BMW R69S motorcycle, and some special tools to take apart my '63 WM300 (I'm a '63 model too, just turned 40 this year.). I also like to do some model engineering when I get the chance (Model steam and gas engines for those who might not know.). If you want to talk machining just drop me a e-mail. I'd be happy to hear from you. Brett
