After ten years of doing the verbal violence called litigation in L.A. and Colorado Springs, I went to work for the Colorado Department of Corrections as their in-house contracts attorney. I review contracts, leases, settlements, etc for all the stuff we have to buy to house 20,000 felons. I answer legal questions on a vast range of issues - it is never ending and never boring. It is the Commute From Hell though. Why, I have to travel more than a mile along the Arkansas River and go through two stop signs just to get to work every day. Sometimes, I'm at a stop sign on my bicycle and I have to wait for a car to go by before I can continue on - that's really a hassle you know!
Live on the edge of a small town in Southern Colorado on 2+ acres which backs up to miles of wilderness. Got the female spousal unit, 3.0 kiddos, 2 horses, 3 ducks, and 2 two-car garages with 8' M37 friendly doors.
I must say that I have been impressed with most of the folks who I have met at the Rocky Mountain Rendevous over the years, as they are a smart, deep thinking and mechanically capable bunch who tend to have a good sense of humor. Hope to meet more of you in the future.
