I too am a ‘veteran’ of the computer industry (over 25 years) with time spent both in the corporate arena and working on my own as an independent consultant. The last 13 years, I’ve have operated my own consulting business, specializing in application software implementations with products like Oracle, BPICS etc.

Unfortunately, virtually all of the work is out of state which requires leaving Sunday night or early Monday morning to head to the airport and then back on Thursday. Although, I could live wherever I'd like to, it doesn’t really matter with this scenario.

The grind has finally gotten to me however, and during the last year I started a new business (selling a retail product to drug store chains, convenience stores, etc) which, if successful, will allow me to have my office two miles away in town and be home every night (and travel when I want to).

Not sure how the wife and cats will adjust to having me around all the time, but I’m looking forward to it.

Been in Guilford CT for 25 years, have about 3 acres and a two car garage – one bay of which is allocated to the 59 W300M. (The newer cars have to stay outside)

I remember when this forum first began a number of years ago and about the same time having just three (3) trucks show up at George’s farm in Glastonbury for the first CT ‘rally’.

The power wagon hobby and this forum have certainly come along way since then. Thanks for your efforts and keep up the good work Joe!
