I own and operate a custom hay stacking and delivery company(started myself) in SW Idaho, my summer job. In the fall I am a hunting guide in the central Idaho primitive area. In the winter I operate a sno-cat, grooming runs at the local ski area. All the rest of my time is spent helping my Dad on his farm/ranch. He is 73, and can't do what he used to but still keeps 150 acres of corn and alfalfa and 130 pairs of mother cows(guess who feeds the hay out all winter after puttin' it in all summer). What they were saying about owning your own business and it being 24/7/365 isn't as bad with me, only for about 6 months. But when it is haying season I can and do get in many 17-20 hour days, the old saying "make hay while the sun shines" is out dated! The guiding is my favorite job. Fly into the back country for two or three weeks where all travel is on shanks mares or horseback. Just now dealing with the wolves is getting a little difficult!
