But you have brouched the subject that can never be definately resolved.
There are just too many variables and different ideas and possibilities to consider. You must designate the vehicle for a specific use.
Build it for one definate purpose and make it do that to its ultimate ability and completely forget roadability.
Do consider fullchassis skid plates to protect as much of the drivetrain as possible,make it in sections ,bolted on and easy to remove. Make all drive links as beefy as possible with as little drive angle
as possible. Use as many backup systems as is practical with air compressor & tools with a spare parts container. GPS and communications and never 4-wheel alone!OH YES
don't forget the tolit paper and babywipes!
