Still doesn't make sense to me...up North here we often run 190 degree thermostats. You know why? To get the engine to run hotter & get more heat out of the heater. I ran the 230 all summer in my 49 P/W with no thermostat & it was well into the 90's here.
I can watch the temp guage & tell exactly when the thermostat opens & when it closes.
