Well on a whim I tried to install it "up side down" the only way it looked like it would work. Guess What??? I doesn't fit that way either so I guess, this is just completely the wrong thermostat. Now answer me this aren't all dodge 230 and 251 engines "essentially" the same? Why then make different thermostats?
More importanly till I get a new one can I still run the engine with no thermostat???
