Is it a School Bus owned by or operated for a school or is it a privately owned vehicle where body type is school bus. I had a real problem insuring my M-43 FORMER (repeat) FORMER ambulance when I answered to the "body type" question.

Once you have determined the true status of this bus type vehicle, the best source is the state police. We on this all knowing Forum appreciate your confidence in us, but it is they, not us, who will issue any citations. And issues you have not told us such as passenger capacity that Mark brought up can only be answered by the authorities.

And we won't be the ones to hear any court case. I doubt you would have much success telling pleading "Not Guilty" with the defense that someone on the Forum said what you did was okay.

On topic - I sent the state (TX) pictures of the seats in the back of the ambulance and they titled it as a passenger van. Then my insurance company was happy.

Bottom line - Be sure to have things accurately defined before addressing an issue to any bureaucratic entity. They can only deal with check marks in a box. You must do the thinking.

Good Luck.
