Probably eight years ago, when I was working for a company producing automotive machine tools that were marketing internationally, we frequently received mailed letters that were this same sort of thing. They were nice looking letters, but.... it still managed to be a sort of comedy. No one found it plausible or credible.
I have always marveled that anyone would be so dumb as to fall for it.
