Isolator?

Maybe it's a battery isolator (so you can charge deep cycle batteries with the alternator but keep from accessing them when you're using the starter...and so you can drain them down without draining the vehicle's starting battery). Some isolator info at:

I can imagine it could be an inverter (12V to 110), but the basic inverters and charge controllers I use in my off-grid place don't have 4-position switches like you're describing. And now that I think about it, the isolator in my bus doesn't have a switch like that either.

Does this look like newer piece of equipment or is it a similar vintage as the camper? Is there a manufacturer's name, model #, or any other info on it?
