Converting to 12 volts is more of a componet change out. Wire is wire and realy dose not care. Bigest problem I see is the coil and some of the 24 volt relays and gauges under the dash. Take your standard wiring diagram and go thru it to see if there are any coils, meters ect that use 24 volt to make them work these will need to be modified or changed to 12 volts. Then change out all the bulbs and head lights to 12 volt. You can leave the exsisting wiring pretty much the same. Then of course there is the generator that needs to be changed out along with the regulator to either a 1 wire altinator with out a external regulator or one with. Mark H.
