First, I said that 61-71 parts were not sacred to ME, many other people like them! (why I don't know :-) )
As for the beds, the STEPSIDE beds up to 1965 1/2 are 7 1/2 foot, I just sold one! (I measured it to make sure it was the right one before I bought it)
The FF PW beds in the 3rd series trucks are 8 foot, and do not match the beds on conventional trucks until after 1965 1/2 as that is the introduction of the 8 foot stepside (utline) bed, yes the wheel well is in a different spot, but that is because of the bed length.
Go measure a stepside 4 headlight 61-65 truck, you will see!
