I am alive and well and still living in North Carolina.
Still doing a little clean up around here. I am very lucky, I had a battle plan. I lost the roof off one building, the canvas top off my M3-4 International, and a tree that the Bride and planted just before we got married. The M37 with winch rescued the tree by pulling it back up. I hope it lives. In my naborhood 2 houses were hit by falling trees. Years ago I removed all trees that could hit my house. Best thing I ever did.
We had a little flooding here, but just down the road they had massive flooding. They had to send in fast water rescue teams to get every one out.
This storm was not as bad as some of the others, but she was still bad.
I want to say one thing, on TV today I saw a man bad mouthing the power companies for not having the power back on in his area{North of NC}. The first fatality here was a lineman. When Hurricane Floyd hit, we lost power here for several days and had allot of out of state power companies came here to help. We are a miliary community, so we know about leaving and going in harms way. I will never forget driving in town the day the lineman were going home. Every one was flashing there lights, honking there horns, and people were waving from the side walks as the convoy of bucket trucks went by. If you are a lineman, I just want to say "Thanks".
One of the few, the proud, Frank
