It is not difficult to check the output of the lift pump. I think I have a copy of the latest TSB on them or I can at least find a copy on the net for you if you need it. Is it an early 2001? Those got a few bad lift pumps. I have been driving an early one that was within the range. It has been updated but never did have trouble with it as far as I know.
