I checked the door tag on my new '03 2500, and it, too, came from Mexico. I have no doubt that a lot of the components for every vehicle, no matter where it was assembled, come from small countries everywhere in the world. If you start worrying about where the truck is assembled, start worrying about where the parts that go into the assembly come from.
I couldn't be happier with my truck, and by it being assembled in Mexico, maybe that minimizes the amount of immigrants that have to illegally jump border to make a living. JH
