Judd,

You will need a big block 727 tranny. The one bolted to the 318 wont work. If its a manual probably a bell housing change.

Truck oil pan/pickup,and water pump housing, timing chain cover. Big block truck exhaust manifolds are hard to come by so its that or headers or put a slight notch in the frame to use regular car exhaust manifolds.

Of course the engine and tranny mounts.

Big block truck transmissions had a shorter tailshaft so depending on if you find a truck big block 727 or a car version you'll have to have the drive shaft redone.

Radiator may be a problem. 318 rad may be to small to keep the 440 cool. Also big block and small block radiators are opposite for hose hook up. There might be some slight engine wiring harness issues with getting the ignition wires up to the front for the distributor as with the 318 it was in the back.

Chrysler had a 1 piece and a 3 piece tranmission kick down lever. I found the 1 piece type hit the firewall not allowing proper movement of the lever on the 727. You'll need a 3 piece version. To my knowledge there is no "truck" linkage.

Todd
