They didn't work for Henry in the true sense of the word, they were 'investors', supplying every part except seats, wheels and tires. In return they received stock and cash as payment. When Henry decided to manufacture his own parts, the Dodge ownership of Ferd was bought out, for what was, at the time, the largest cash transaction in history.
However there are similarities in the fact that Dodge (Paul) does work for Ferd (Tam)! ha!ha!
