I got a 1985 Toyota with 160,000 when I bought it. Opened the oil cap and it had all kinds of junk everwhere. Changed the oil to Mobil-1. At the first oil change, the oil looked terrible, all kinds of different colors. After about four oil changes later, it finally started looking like used motor oil. That engine had a lot of build up. I think the engine flushing products are the items to avoid -- they loosen material to fast.
