I've rigged Gin Poles, both 2 and 3 guy, and worked them erecting towers. I've also set 90 foot wood poles with a 35' pole acting as a gin pole.
I've also rigged and worker a Braden "gin pole" on a Dodge Power wagon, miserable sumbich that it was.
For the record, an arm attached to a verticle lifting device that moves on a single axis is a JIB, not a Gin Pole.
A Gin Pole has 2 azmuths of travel.
