In Marine Air Group -39 at Camp Pendelton, CA we wer still running around the Flightline and the Base in M-151's... and that was in '92 or '93! I remember we even took the one that had been assigned to our squadron out to 29 Palms for a training excercise. I dont remember if it ever made it back though. We would have to fix it ourselves as the motor pool only carried parts to support the Hummer and CUCV that the ordinance guys had.
Most of our parts came from shot up hulks out on the aerial gunnery and bombing ranges!
