Hey... Did you ever get up to look at that W500 I told you about buy your place? That is one sweet rig. I cant find the # anywhere. Sorry!
As far as the '52 goes, I'm going to hang on to it at least untill I get another truck finished. It's the only Power Wagon I have out of 4 that's roadable!
The motor in it is a mis-mash of different motors. The head is off a car, and the block is from a truck... T305 if I remember right. I do remember that the block is the correct date code for the year of the truck as are all the wheels and the winch.
Before my little trailride, I'm going to install a rebuilt T137 Power Wagon motor in it and a rebuilt pre-type crash box transmission that I have. The transfercase looks to have been rebuilt recently, and I have a new wiring harness on order for it (10 weeks out!!!!). I have a set of 900-16 Power Kings I am going to put on it as the Super all-tracks are good, but checked pretty bad. I cant do the tires untill I get the brakes working as they are pretty weak, and two of the rear lines are crimped off from a tiedown chain during transport. I think they need to be bled out and adjusted. Hopefully I wont have to replace any wheel cylinders. I guess if you have to do one wheel cylinder you may as well do them all, and replace all your lines huh? The gas tank is just full of crud. I'm either going to have to find a good one or send this one of to rhino-renew or something. Right now my fuel is coming out of a modified 5 gallon jerry can that sits on the passenger side floor!
As nice as the old girl is when I got it, I still see throwing $2000 in parts into it before winter hits. Sheesh, there is no end....
