That really sucks Mark. I guess it's a bad idea to count your chickens before they are hatched.
I have a question, I was looking at the auction and was wondering, what's the dual electric fuel pumps all about? I noticed one is plugged off, I assume it's not wired up also? Is it in case of the first pump failing, you can go to the back up? Good Idea! Do you need to use a metering valve with it?

I have also heard of using a electric pump back at the tank to boost fuel up to the mechanical pump. Maby this would help with people expirencing vapor lock. Another neat trick I've seen...
The metal fuel line that goes from the mechanical pump to the carb, passes close to the exaust manifold, which causes the fuel to heat up. I have seen 3 trucks now that have had a bunch of wooden clothespins attached to the fuel line where it passes by the exaust manifold to insulate it from the heat I guess. Neat ol' timers trick!

Of course if the clothespins were on one of Marty's trucks they would have to be stained a dark brown to match the interior headliner! HaHaHa!!!
