It's really quite simple; a gin pole is a single pole lifting device. An A Frame is just that, a two pole lifting device in the shape of an "A".
If your PW has a single pole, it is truly a gin pole, if it has two poles it is an A frame.
Now,...if you have a gin pole extension on top of your A frame,...and it is mounted on your Volvo,...it is an A frame with a gin pole extension , ya ya!
