I had a problem with engine starting, so I removed the choke assembly and put in the primer kit.
The primer kit works by tapping into the main fuel line going to the carb with a "T" fitting. The primer fuel line draws gas from the main line and squirts gas directly into the carb. I usually do three squirts, and hold the throttle wide open, and go.
I drilled a hole in the plastic housing that sits on top of the carb, press fit the brass fitting that comes in the kit, ans secured the fuel line to it. The knob for the primer kit replaces the choke knob. You just drill it out a little and bed it in silicone and attach it with the nuts in the kit.
I'm not sure how gas is fed in, I'll take a look today.
