I had a neighbor whose lawn mower would regularly overheat and seize up, and which point he'd spray it with the hose to cool it down and free it up. He'd usually do this several times in the course of one lawn mowing. Naturally it didn't start very easy either, but he always seemed to manage to cuss it into starting eventually. I don't suppose he ever bothered to put oil in it or anything else so technically advanced either.
