Curious of methods others use.

Specifically directed towards Chris in Idaho - just visited your latest pictures. WOW! I really like the color you chose. I know what you mean about the multiple coats - I have seen the transparency thing before.

You did an especially good job cleaning up the transfer case - how did you do it? I have degreased many a old tractor. Use gunk - then pressure wash. But yours looks almost like it had been media blasted.

Also - that latest picture you put in the post must be your steering gear - how did that turn out?

I started the teardown of my 1952 today. I am on a much longer schedule. Your pictures will be inspiring me all the way. Thanks for taking the time to post your pictures - your sharing will definitely help others.

As well as you have documented your process - you should give some serious consideration to a published restoration guide for Power Wagons. I am not kidding. I would pay big bucks for a published work.

Cliff
