Freeing up stuck flatheads, help needed!

Guys,

I am about to buy a couple of trucks with stuck flatheads, all were supposed to have "ran when parked" (we all know what that means!). The engines were not exposed to the weather (the hoods are all still on and down), so I am guessing the problem is a small amount of water from the air in the cylinders.

What are the best methods of freeing one of these? I figured I would dump something down the sparkplug holes, but what do I want to put down the cylinders? Marvel Mystery oil, automaitc tranny fluid, some kind of mild acid, old coke?? What has worked well for others?

Should I rock the truck once I have the stuff in the cylinders? How long should I soak the engine? Should I pull the head?

I welcome any advise in this, as I have never had any engine stuck lightly enough that I could free it.

Thanks!

Eric
