In my opinion, the taller 11:00's would be better for hiwy crusin but, they would cause more torque on the axle shafts, driveshaft & u-joints,& clutch, especially when hauling a load or offroading and you would need (in my opinion)to stay with the 5:83 gears.
The 9:00's (as said) would be closer to stock and allow more working ability with less strain on the drivetrain and you could even use the 4:89 gears for better hiwy crusin. Either way, its a give and take situation. Our trucks lack the OverDrive needed to make it good for both at the same time. The 9:00 stock size tires allow a more workable setup while the 11:00 taller tires allow better hiwy crusin. In moderation, both can be done with either setup. The 9:00's will most likely be cheaper but kill road speed and the 11:00's will aid road speed by lowering eng. RPM's but decrease the workability somewhat. What do you do the most?
