Today we learned what happens to someone who has 6 beers and forces a radiator cap off a hot vehicle.
The tennant, who is normally employed as a mechanic, came rolling in hanging out the window of his girlfriend's Dodge minivan, and informed me he was burned. After inspecting him and determining he looked like a cooked lobster, I put the garden hose on him, and called the local fire factory. I don't call 911, as it always results in a minimum 6 minute delay.
Since he was in no mood to cooperate, and refused to lay down, I had him sit on a stool and keep playing water on himself. I figured he'd be into shock in a couple minutes anyhow, and fall off the stool, so instead of fighting with him, I'd just protect his head when he went down.
1 pumper, 1 attack squad, 1 chief, 1 ambiulance and 1 fly car arrived, and the idiot walked to the ambulance and climbed in, after he answered all their questions and they filled out forms. The ambulance squad will be pi$$ed when they figure out how I caused them to dump a full response, not that I really give a rusty rats ass.
Stupid was hauled to the burn center, and called me after he got his second syringe of Morphine. Fortunately, his eyes and breathing system were not effected. He is one tough little bustard, burned from hairline to pantline, and instead of calling an ambulance from where he got burned, he rode 6 miles home.
He should be fine in a few days, looks to be mostly first degree with some second degree burns over about 25% of his body.
He's gonna remember this night for a long time.
