I hauled a flatbed 47 WDX about 450 miles. When I went to rent the trailer Uhaul had two slightly different trailers, both aluminum. I picked the one that looked slightly larger. The uhaul people will ask you what you are towing and look it up on their computer to see if it will fit their trailer, but their database doesnt go back that far, so I said it is about the same a 78 dodge truck and they said that will fit the trailer. they also ask what you are towing it with to make sure the tow vehicle is big enough.

I put the truck on front first. The uhaul trailer uses a ratcheting mechanism to wrap around and hold down the front tires with a heavy web netting. The webbing isn't long enough to wrap around the large tires on a wdx, so I wrapped it around the axles instead. I put the chains and an extra 3inch tie down strap on the rear axle to hold the rear end down.

Didn't have any problems during the trip. It would have been balanced better if loaded backward.

Also used the same trailer to haul a 63 W200, also no problems, but it was a tight squeeze for the tires between the trailer fender wells. Wider tires would not have fit.

Scary part is driving the truck up onto the trailer.

Have since bought my own trailer and winch and chainload binders.
