Continental Multi/Fuel HyperCycle 6cyl Engine??

I have a chance to pick up a couple of these but do not know the military Engine ID Number. One engine was made in 11/7/1963 Continental 6-cyl Multi/Fuel HyperCycle Ser# 17270. What Military 2 1/2 ton was made then? Was it the M35 and would this be the engine for them? Both are the same style engines. Thanks, Mark H.
