We were on the Grape Vine about 6 years ago and saw one truck (actually didn't seethe truck) that went over the edge on the right side down and over. Then another time on the same hill, traffic was slowed cause the driver tipped his truck on the side to stop. So as your coming down into the Bakersfield side you just saw the bottom of the truck laying sideways across the road. THENNNNN another time when I was driving (Bruce being a CO person you can figure this one) coming down Wolf Creek towards Durango side, there is one LAST sharp ass corner where you either turn left or go overthe edge. This truck at about 1:00AM had no choice but to lay it on its side and coming downthe hill, you could see him right on the edge laying sideways. Any further, he would have been wayyyyyyy down in the valley below. Then a very close friend of mine losthis brakes going down Wolf Creek passand did the same. All he remembers is laying it on the drivers side and having his face being showered by sparks. They ended up finding out it was a mechanical fault, not the drivers fault.
