I did a deal and had to meet a guy half way. It was only 110 miles and he came 110 or so miles. We talked alot on the phone and he brought cash. He was working 2 jobs and did not have enough time for the round trip. I was leary of the deal but it went okay.
Your deal just "smells bad" and 1000 is alot of miles without being paid first.
I think I told him that if I had misrepresented the truck he could refuse the deal.
