Switching stake pockets: second series bed

Has anyone ever taken the stake pockets off of the front of a second series bed and used them in the rear? Just doing some quickie measurements, it sure looks like it would work. The only difference I can see is the tab would have to be cut off on one side towards the bottom for the tailgate hinge bracket.
