Have to go along with you there..I have a rather extensive
background with winching as well as heavy rigging.
I am a heavy equipment and rigging specialist
with FEMA USAR MATF-1. I won't let any of my guys touch
anything without gloves and safety glasses..
I won't let anyone closer than three feet near
the drum either..we use a lot of military
surplus trucks etc...with front mount winches.
Things can happen real fast as we all know...
but because we are so safety conscious we have
never had a mishap in over 4 years..
Everybody has their points and I respect them
but the Key here is the NAIL YOU HIT SQUARELY..
