I'm having a problem getting my tranny back in my engine(230ci). It goes in to the point where the splines on the clutch plate and input shaft mesh but no further. Everything is aligned, I have a rebuilt crank nott the original and it seems that the input shaft will not insert in the crank. My ? is: Could the shaft be from a car or something and the pilot bushing (which was already installed when I got the crank) be a smaller size to fit a car tranny or something?
