I bought a Jeep M-715 that way. It had a hartop,
lotsa chrome, Dana 70's in both ends, a 327 and
automatic, new tires and the had just done the
brakes and the front axle was just rebuilt. I paid
$1500 for it and sold it a week later for $3500.
Don't just stand in line, give them an inteest
letter and maybe go so far as to include a bid.
If your opening bid is reasonable and includes the
info that it is subject to being amended upward
you'll probably end up with the thing. In my case,
the next bid down was $800.
