Everyone responding,is concerned with safety above all else.Some more so for the PW than you.
I agree that a proper setup should be used,but in years past, when I was younger and more impatient than I am now,I practiced those daredevil feats of suicide hauling.While I believe GOD had his protection on this young foolish man,it was the common mechanical sense(given by GOD)that allowed me to complete each haul without harm.
While it can be done with inferior equipment, I would not recommend the habit of taking chances on the road with the wellbeing of the PW,yourself,or OTHERS! As crowded the roads nowadays and CRAZY the drivers are getting,it is neither safe or smart to take such chances.
Overkill is always better than being killed.
