I have a Dodge bias as you'll soon see. My very first vehicle, at age 16 was a 1958 W100, 318 cid that I bought in 68. Also had 1971 W100, 318 cid and currently have 1973 Adventurer, 318 cid (daily driver) and 1975 PW Crew Cab 200, also 318 cid (currently restoring) but drive in deep snow when I have to. Also had several cars in between, cuda and challenger, etc. From my experiences if the 71 383 was maintained mechanically it should have many miles of reliable service left with plenty of muscle. If you would be getting it to beat, expect the sheet steel to drop off long before the 383 dies, then please email me and I'll buy the engine. Really, in all seriousness, if you feel the price is right - get it, if not, let me know.
