Depending on the fitting used on that cable, it can turn easily with fingers or not at all without using pliers, especially having been on awhile. I have a C3 and had to pull off the brake support to get to it. But now may also be a good time to check bearing adjustments. If you have side/end play when moving your brake drum or other yokes, may want to do additional work.
