Do you mean you are rebuilding the axle, or the wheel assembly and need to pull the axle. Anyway, you might check out your local parts store (assuming you would be getting bearings, seals, slingers, etc. from them. They might loan (w/deposit) such tools. You can also purchase specialty tools from specialty tool manufacturers such as Millers but get ready to re-mortgage. Unless you're planning to do a lot of rebuilds I'd exhaust every effort to rent or find a loaner to do the job. You might take it to a local competent repair shop too to crack things loose. Just my opinion!
